Allstate employees collected “back to work” supplies from area residents as part of October’s National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The collected items included: resume paper, portfolios, notebooks, calendars, calculators and pens. The supplies were given to domestic violence survivors at local domestic violence shelter WINGS to prepare them to enter or re-enter the workforce with confidence. The Allstate Foundation also presented a $4,243 donation to WINGS to support their economic empowerment for domestic violence survivors program. The monetary donation was a result of a used art sale held at Allstate’s national headquarters in Northbrook.
