The history of the North Shore was center stage at the New Trier Township Annual Town meeting on April 12th at the North Shore Senior Center's A.C. Nielson campus in Northfield. North Shore native, and multiple Emmy Award winner, Geoffrey Baer, revealed many surprising things he learned as he researched and wrote "Chicago's North Shore", a feature length documentary for WTTW Channel 11.

The event marked the culmination of the 160th anniversary celebration of New Trier Township. In addition to Mr. Baer’s presentation, outstanding Township volunteers were recognized, elected officials provided brief reports, and items were collected for a time capsule.
