Canned fruit, cereal, and laundry detergent were among the many items collected as New Trier Township and Grand Food Center joined together for a food and fund drive in June and July 2010.  Volunteers stood outside the Grand Food Store in Glencoe and Winnetka and handed flyers to shoppers with a list of needed items.  Thanks to the community’s generous support, approximately 250 bags of groceries and $250 in contributions were collected during the drive.

Historically, the summer months are when the New Trier Township Pantry begins to see a decline in donations, yet the usage of the pantry remains the same.
