On Sunday, April 3 Beth Hillel Congregation Bnai Emunah – Wilmette hosted the 5th annual
Zemer Am festival concert. Zemer Am (The song of the people) provides an opportunity for
singers from local synagogues and community choirs to come together and celebrate Jewish
choral music.
The day started with exciting workshops where singers had an opportunity to meet and engage
in Jewish singing and culminated with a memorable concert. Ten choirs from nearby synagogues
and community choirs participated with over 200 people attending the event which was free to
the public.
