Skokie Boulevard will be resurfaced from the Edens Plaza traffic signal to just north of Illinois Road. Illinois Road will be resurfaced from Skokie to Sprucewood Lane.

The project by the Illinois Department of Transportation is expected to take two weeks.

During construction, southbound traffic will be prohibited on Skokie Boulevard, from Illinois Road to the Edens Plaza traffic signal. The southbound exit ramp from the Edens Expressway will remain open. Northbound traffic will be maintained, but lane shifts will be required.

Illinois Road will be open to two-way traffic on most days, however lane shifts and daily lane closures may be required. Motorists should read the electronic message board for continuous updates during construction.
