The Wheeling Wheelmen are sponsoring their 40th Harmon Hundred bicycle ride on Sunday, September 12th in Southern Wisconsin. The organization and ride were started by Phyllis Harmon in 1970. Over the years, Phyllis has promoted bicycle riding and conducted rides world wide.
This ride features distances of 25, 50, 62 (Metric Century), 75 and 100 miles. It begins and ends at Wilmot High School (Wilmot WI) Registration at Wilmot begins at 6:00 to 10:00AM. However riders can pre-register by accessing the web site at www.wheelmen.com The cost, if registering prior to 9/7, is $15.00 for adults ($20 day of ride) and $5.00 for Children. This is an excellent ride for the entire family.
The ride is well marked on quiet country roads with cue sheets, SAG support and well stocked rest stops. One of the school’s organizations will be selling food, for a nominal fee, after the ride. Free showers will be available after the ride (bring your own towel).
It’s a great way to enjoy a leisurely bike ride.
