SUMMARY:Misericordia’s 30th Annual Family Festival
DESCRIPTION;CHARSET=UTF-8:Parking is available at S&C Electric (just east of Ridge)  Tickets purchased before August 20 are discounted: $5 per adult and $3 for seniors and children.   To order, please call 773-273-2766.  Tickets purchased at the gate cost $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and children. Misericordia offers exceptional programs for more than 600 children and adults with mild to profound developmental disabilities from diverse racial, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds.  This year, Misericordia must raise $13 million for costs not covered by the State of Illinois.  Additionally, Misericordia has moved forward with construction projects in order to welcome some of the 500 individuals on its waiting list Schedule of Events: &bull;	Main Stage with Master of Ceremonies Frank Mathie from WLS-TV.  Live entertainment includes Lesley Byers (pop songs and oldies), Pirates Over 40 (Jimmy Buffett tribute band), the Misericordia Heartbreakers (dance troupe) and Heartzingers (choir), Live Auction with WXRT&rsquo;s Lin Brehmer featuring trips, sports tickets and more. &bull;	International Tent with music from Shannon Rovers, Finbarr Fagan Irish music, The Music Company (Polish performers).  Also appearing is WGN&rsquo;s Lou &ldquo;Mr. Fix It&rdquo; Manfredini, in a Q&A session.   &bull;	Children&rsquo;s Theater offers &frac12;-hour performances all afternoon. &bull;	New!  Family Backyard Games and &lsquo;Celebrity&rsquo; Dunk Tank &bull;	All-day in-crowd live entertainment includes the Jesse White Tumblers, Frisbee Dogs, and Rainbow Dogs Pet Therapy.  Silent auction, bingo and craft booths are also available. &bull;	The children&rsquo;s games area features dozens of old-fashioned games (e.g., ring toss, Bozo buckets) that are free and offer prizes.  Kiddie rides are also available for a minimal charge. .
