A frozen yogurt shop and a women’s accessory store are set to open their doors later this year at Town Square Wheaton.
Red Mango, an all-natural, nonfat frozen yogurt shop is scheduled to open its doors Saturday at 233 Town Square, next to Chico’s and Francesca’s Collections, said Town Square spokeswoman Stacy Jones.
Red Mango’s yogurt is made without artificial ingredients and is gluten-free, and customers can top it with fresh fruit and nuts or candies and cereal. Fruit smoothies, parfaits and hot chocolate are among the vendor’s other menu items, according to its website.
In mid-April, Charming Charlie, an accessory shop with jewelry, handbags and more, is scheduled to open at 351 Town Square, between Altobello Fine Jewelers and Papyrus. Charming Charlie stores are organized by “color families” and most product prices range from $4.97 and $49.97, according to the store’s website. There are currently 15 Charming Charlie stores in Illinois, including shops in Bolingbrook, Lombard and Joliet. The 8,000-square-foot location in Town Square Wheaton is currently under construction, Jones said.
Jones said Town Square’s leasing department is “working to get some more great retailers in,” but Red Mango and Charming Charlie are the only two now with definite plans to open.
Both stores have obtained the necessary city permits, said Wheaton Planning Director Jim Kozik. Final inspections are being completed today at Red Mango, he said, while Charming Charlie officials are working on build out of the space.
“We’re very excited about these two new businesses in Town Square,” Kozik said.
