Wheaton Warrenville South High School’s show choir will get their chance in the “Glee” spotlight when they perform this weekend for a taping of ABC’s “Windy City Live” with special guest and Glee TV show star Jane Lynch.

The show choir, which won a national competition for its performance in 2010, was contacted last week to perform for Monday’s show, said choir director John Burlace.

“They’re pretty pumped about it,” Burlace said of the 20 students who will sing and dance to The Beatles “I Saw Her Standing There” for Lynch.

“As I understand they’ll get to meet her,” Burlace said. “She’s so great, I can’t imagine there’d be a group of kids and she wouldn’t say hi.”

The show will be taped Sunday but is scheduled to air 9 a.m. Monday on ABC 7.
