Montini Catholic High School is proud to announce the newest officers of the 2010-2011 Student Government. The election took place at the end of last school year, during which the entire student body had the opportunity to vote for its Student Government President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary. The 2010-2011 Student Government Officers are: senior Haley Wrenn (Aurora) as the President; senior Hannah Payne (Villa Park) as
Vice-President; senior Annie Michalica (Westmont) as the Secretary; and junior Joe Versaci (Lombard) as Treasurer.
These Student Government Officers will lead the student body through the next school year. They will create the Agenda for the General Council, have weekly meetings, and direct the Executive Board. The officers will make decisions on topics such as School Events and Dance Themes. They are in charge of the school’s annual food drive around Thanksgiving (the Golden Gobbler), as well as the creation and organization of many other fundraisers.
“In the short time I’ve been working with these fine students, it’s become abundantly clear why they were selected by their peers to lead the school. The hard work, energy, and determination to set a positive example gives me great hope for a very successful year,” comments Montini Catholic High School’s Student Activities Director and English Teacher, Mr. Kevin Beirne.
Annie Michalica is a high honor senior from Westmont. At Montini, she is involved in the Girls’ Lacrosse Team, Intramural Badminton and Volleyball. She is on the Student Government, Yearbook Club, and both the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society.
Hannah Payne is a high honor senior from Villa Park. At Montini, she is involved in the Girls’ Lacrosse Team and had participated in the Girls Basketball Team and Girls’ Volleyball Team. She participates in Intramural Volleyball and is the President of the National Honor Society.
Joe Versaci is a high honor junior from Lombard. At Montini Joe is a member of the Spanish Club and the 5th-In-State Math Team. He is now the Treasurer of Student Government.
Haley Wrenn is a high honor senior from Aurora. At Montini, she is involved in the Girls’ Volleyball Team, the Track & Field Team, and the Girls’ Soccer Team. She is a member of the Spanish Club, Student Government Ambassadors and both the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society.
