The former fire chief of Westmont, who retired following his December arrest for DUI, was acquitted of the charge today, according to his attorney.

DuPage County Judge Liam Brennan dismissed the misdemeanor charge against Frank Trout, who was cited Dec. 30, after he struck a parked car around 6:20 p.m. in the 3900 block of Adams St. in Westmont.
