The Warrenville Historical Society will hold its General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, September 7 at 7:00 PM, at the Historical Museum, 2S530 Second Street. Members use this meeting as a time to hold annual elections, however in addition, this year a special presentation has been planned. “How to get started on your genealogy” will be the topic for the evening’s presentation. Come learn about how you can start to trace your ancestry and hear the story of one local resident’s journey into her family’s past through DNA testing. Attendees will also learn about the resources available for researchers at the Historical Museum. If you are not a member of the Historical Society it is not too late to join and attend this special event! Membership forms can be found on the Historical Society’s website, www.warrenvillehistorical.org, and can also be picked up at the Historical Museum during our open gallery hours on Sundays from 1:00-4:00 PM or on the night of the event.
