Tinley Park remembers 9/11
The Village of Tinley Park and area veterans groups on Sunday remembered the nearly 3,000 people who died because of the 9/11 attacks 10 years ago.
A remembrance service started at 8:30 a.m. at the Oak Park Avenue train station. Participants in the Fifth Annual Kevin Clarke Memorial Ride mounted their bikes at 10:30 a.m., and a Patriot Day Parade marched down Oak Park Avenue at 12:30 p.m. A community lunch and music followed in the afternoon.
