Trinity Lutheran 5th graders spend week in outdoor education
Instead of spending time in a traditional classroom, 5th grade students at Trinity Lutheran School in Tinley Park recently spent the week hiking, animal tracking, cooking outdoors, and practicing their archery skills.
Trinity students spent the week at Walcamp in Kingston, Illinois which is located along the banks of the Kishwaukee River. "Walcamp Week" has been a part of Trinity's 5th grade curriculum for over thirty-five years.
The Walcamp tradition continues to be a favorite memory of many students who graduate from Trinity Lutheran School. Not only is the program designed to be educational, but it allows the students to grow in the knowledge God's Word and the world around them.
