An American Kestral

The American Kestral is North America's littlest falcon. It's a predator that's small but fierce that hunts for insects and small prey. This bird can be found perching on wires, on top of poles and hanging on bushes along 179th Street, between 94th Avenue and 84th Avenue in Tinley Park. The image of the bird on the bush was taken on the new Morraine Valley Campus in Tinley Park and the image of the kestral perched on the wire was taken alongside the small and neglected nature center on 84th Avenue.
