The following items were taken from Tinley Park Police records on Oct. 11.
Battery
- A 47-year-old man was punched in the face by an unknown man after making a derogatory comment about country music when a country song was played on the jukebox at The Cottage Bar, 7865 W. 159th St., around 12:21 a.m. Oct. 9. A 30-year-old man who got involved was also punched in the face and required stitches. The attacker left the bar with two other men and a woman before police arrived.
Arrest
- A 26-year-old Frankfort man was arrested in the 7600 block of West 173rd Street at 6 p.m. Oct. 10 for disorderly conduct after allegedly banging on the door of a Tinley Park home and threatening to shoot and stab a man whom he suspected was seeing his girlfriend. The man was highly intoxicated.
- An 18-year-old Tinley Park man was arrested in the 7500 block of West 159th Place at 8 p.m. Oct. 10 for domestic battery after allegedly hitting his 3-year-old cousin on the wrist with a pool cue and then acting as though he was going to hit his grandmother and aunt when they questioned him. He also faces charges of possession of cannabis after police found less than 30 grams on him during the arrest.
- A 25-year-old Oak Forest woman was arrested outside of Durbin’s Restaurant and Lounge, 17265 Oak Park Ave., at 2 a.m. Oct. 8 on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after screaming obscenities at people walking by the bar, slapping an employee and refusing to cooperate with police.
Criminal damage
- The front window of a home in the 16700 block of Oconto Avenue was damaged between 11 p.m. Oct. 7 and 9:30 a.m. Oct. 8.
- The front windshield of a car was broken while parked in the 17500 block of Sandalwood Drive between midnight and 8:30 a.m. Oct. 9.
- A BB was shot through a front window of a home in the 6400 block of 164th place between 6:30 a.m. and 7:34 a.m. Oct. 9.
Burglary to Auto
- A radar detector was stolen from a locked car parked in a driveway in the 17700 block of Oakwood Drive between 11:30 p.m. Oct. 8 and 9:15 am. Oct. 9.
- A purse was stolen from the passenger seat of an unlocked car parked in the 16700 block of South Gentry Lane between 10 a.m. and 10:05 a.m. Oct. 6.
Theft
- A wallet, cell phone and cigarettes were stolen from a table in the beer garden at J.W. Hollstein’s Saloon, 17358 S. Oak Park Ave., between 11:15 p.m. and 11:48 p.m. Oct. 7. The wallet and cell phone were later found inside the bar. Less than $10 in cash was the only thing missing.
