The following items were taken from Tinley Park Police reports on Sept. 1.
Arrests
§ A 20-year-old Chicago woman was arrested in the 16600 block of Parkview Avenue at 2:38 p.m. Aug. 28 on a charge of domestic battery after she allegedly drove her car into her ex-boyfriend’s garage and then scratched his hand and bit his arm.
§ A 24-year-old South Chicago Heights man was arrested at Super Target, 7300 W. 191st Street, at 2:19 p.m. Aug. 27 on a charge of theft for allegedly stealing money from his cash register while working at the store.
§ A 23-year-old Tinley Park woman was arrested on a charge of domestic battery in the 9000 block of Timberwood Lane at 5:54 p.m. Aug. 28 after allegedly fighting with her sister.
Burglary to a residence
§ Jewelry was stolen from a home in the 16800 block of South Oconto Ave., at about 10:30 a.m. Aug. 28 after a man entered the home through an unlocked window while the residents were away with their dog at the Tinley Park Farmer’s Market.
§ CD’s, a television remote control and other household items were stolen from a home in the 16700 block of Trailview Court at about 3 a.m. Aug. 29, while the residents were home. The thief is believed to be an ex-boyfriend of a resident.
Battery
§ A 55-year-old Tinley Park man and a 42-year-old New York man got into an argument that escalated to one man pushing the other at Texas Roadhouse, 18345 S. La Grange Road, at about 8:45 p.m. Aug. 31. Both men were intoxicated.
§ A fight broke out between two men who know each other at Durbin’s, 17265 S. Oak Park Ave., at 11:50 p.m. Aug. 28.
§ A 34-year-old Tinley Park man allegedly hit a 44-year-old Orland Park man, a 30-year-old Manhattan woman and 23-year-old Kankakee women who were sitting at the bar inside Cuzins Tavern, 17704 Oak Park Ave., at 2 a.m. Aug. 29. The man said he was jumped while he was in the bar. No charges were filed.
Theft from Auto
§ The portion of a license plate with the registration plate sticker on it was cut from a vehicle parked in the 18100 block of 66th Court between 7 p.m. Aug. 31 and 1:45 a.m. Sept. 1.
Burglary to Auto
§ A purse left in an unlocked car in the 8400 block of West Cherry Hill Avenue was stolen between 7:23 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Aug. 28.
§ A bag containing sporting gear valued at $800 was stolen from a car in the 16400 block of South Oxford Drive between 7 a.m. Aug. 21 and 6 a.m. Aug. 22.
§ An iPhone was stolen from an unlocked car in the 8100 block of 171st Street between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 29. A GPS was not taken from the car.
§ A wallet and digital camera were stolen from a car at L.A. Fitness, 18400 Convention Center Drive, between 4:30 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. Aug. 30. Keys to the car were taken from an unlocked locker in the gym.
§ About $30 was stolen from a car in the 7800 block of South Bristol Park Drive, between 8:20 p.m. Aug. 22 and 11:10 a.m. Aug. 23.
§ A purse was stolen from a car in the east parking lot of Odyssey Fun World, 19100 S. Oak Park Ave., between 3:35 and 5:15 p.m. Aug. 29.
§ A camera, battery charger, sunglasses and a garage door opener were stolen from a car parked in the 7800 block of West Richardson Lane between 6 p.m. Aug. 21 and 8 a.m. Aug. 22.
Criminal defacement
§ Upside down pitchforks and five-pointed stars were spray painted on playground equipment and benches at Bannes and Commissioners Parks. The graffiti was reported by an anonymous phone call at about 5:30 p.m. Aug. 30.
Theft
§ A bicycle was stolen from the 7400 block of West 170th Street between 6 p.m. Aug. 28 and 10 a.m. Aug. 29.
