The McCarthy Theater project is on schedule and still expected to be finished in time for the Oct. 15 Arts Alive! Tinley Park Community Theater production of “Brighton Beach Memoirs.”
The renovation project was delayed while the districted awaited approval of its water sprinkler plan, but the system is now nearly installed.
The park board approved a purchase of up to $10,500 for carpet at a board meeting Wednesday, and the theater curtains are scheduled to go up next week, said Park District Director John Curran.
“By the end of September, we should be in good shape and be ready for the first play in October,” he said.
