On Friday, October 21, the Hanover Township Foundation will host an Oktoberfest Fundraiser to benefit the Township Food Pantry. From 5:00 – 9:00PM, attendees will be treated to German food and music by Jimmy’s Bavarian at the Bartlett Fire Barn, 220 S. Main Street in Bartlett. Seasonal beverages will also be available for purchase. Tickets are available for $30 per person, $50 per couple, or $35 per person the day of the event.
“During the holidays we definitely see an increase in the families needing the pantry,” said Hanover Township Supervisor Brian P. McGuire. “This is an event that will help us stock the shelves and secure resources to help our neighbors in the coming months.”
The Foundation raises funds to provide additional monetary support for the residents of Hanover Township. Through the generosity of residents, businesses and community organizations, the Foundation assists the Township in operating a food pantry that serves 700 to 1,000 families monthly. In addition, the Foundation helps support programs, equipment purchases for Township departments and provides direct aid for qualifying residents.
