The St. Charles North Drill team continued their winning ways as they competed at the Upstate Eight Conference Championship held at Bartlett High School on January 29. This competition served as a regional state qualifying competition and to determine the conference champion dance team for the Upstate Eight Conference. The Varsity team won the AAA Open Pom, Open Dance & Lyrical divisions. The team also earned the Technical Excellence Award , which is presented to the squad that displays the highest technical proficiency in the competition. The North Stars JV team had a successful day as well. They won the JV Open Pom & Lyrical division and took 3rd place in the Open Dance division. Both Varsity and JV scores were high enough to ensure them both Upstate Eight Conference titles. The 2012 title means back-to-back crowns for the JV. And for the Varsity: a three-peat!! The varsity team is coached by Nancy Franson-Prentiss. The JV team is coached by Colleen Kobler.
