Have you ever wondered what happened to your favorite Van Halen or Kiss Me Im Irish t-shirt? Ecozini most likely has refashioned it into one of the hottest fashion crazes going today. Ecozini, a new eco-friendly company transforms vintage fabrics into hip and trendy accessories. The companys hand-made accessories, designed for women ages 8 to 80, include a line of purses, reversible hats, back sacks and tote bags made from vintage t-shirts, denim and other fabrics.
The company, founded by Chicago-based designer Jessica Clute, has well-intentioned roots as well. The company donates a portion of each purchase to support Chicago Youth Programs, an innovative, non-profit organization improving the lives of children living in underserved communities of Chicago.
This fresh company has already been featured in several fashion shows including Rock the Runway in Atlanta and a recent event sponsored by the Kierrah Foundation based out of Beverly Hills, CA.
I wanted to create a new line of accessories, all while being environmentally conscious, comments Ms. Clute. With so many vintage fabrics available today, what better way to recycle them than to give them new life as purses and hats!
Ecozini products are available at Nouvelle Atelier at the Andersonville galleria in Chicago and online at the companys website www.ecozini.com. For more information about the company please email Jessica directly at jessica@ecozini.com or call 847.489.4359.
