The St. Charles Park District and the Downtown St. Charles Partnership bring the summer Concerts in the Park series to St. Charles’ historic downtown for families and friends to enjoy the great outdoors and some fabulous music! This week’s performance will be the Rhythm Rockets! This high-energy band brings a unique style of American music to the stage. From their old school arrangements and instruments to the infectious toe-tapping music, the Rhythm Rockets have delighted audiences of all ages. They deliver a vintage vibe and show that swings audiences back to America’s heyday. This concert is free thanks to generous support of numerous local businesses including Harris Bank St. Charles; Bickford Senior Living and Memory Care; Minuteman Press; The Filling Station; Big Grin Studios, Inc.; Williams Construction Management; Williams Architects; WBK Associates, Ltd.; McDowell Incorporated; Autopractor; Dr. L. Michael Dohan, DDS; Daily Herald, Kane County Chronicle and the Examiner newspapers, and Onesti Entertainment. Bring your family and friends for a picnic in the park! Settle in before the concert and enjoy picnic-style offerings at reasonable rates from downtown St. Charles restaurants and local vendors including Domino’s Pizza, Mall-BQ and Must Love Dogs. Alcohol is not permitted on Park District property. Guests are encouraged to get to the park early for better seating. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, too. Upcoming concerts include: The United States Air Forces Band of Mid-America on August 12 and Howard & the White Boys on August 19. In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to the Arcada Theatre at 105 E. Main Street. Musicians are subject to change without notice.
