The Niles Township Government computer program is expanding to offer more varied and advanced courses. Participants can pick up valuable knowledge and skills for today’s competitive job market. Everyone is welcome from age 15 years and older. Classes are $75 for Township residents and $85 for all others. Check out our new courses:
Digital Photography–Now that you’ve figured out how to shoot pictures or make a short video, how do your get them into your computer to edit, enhance, and share them? this course is a basic primer to all photo buffs. NOTE: You must have basic skills (Internet/Word) to take this course.
Introduction to PowerPoint–Microsoft PowerPoint is one of the most sought after skills employers are looking for in addition to Word and Excel. Enhance your resume with this important skill. NOTE: Basic computer skills are required to take this course (Introduction and Word).
Web Design–Still looking for a job? Why not develop your entrepreneurial skillls and learn how to design a website for yourself or your business. This course will get you started. NOTE: You should be familiar with using the Internet and have basic to intermediate skills using Microsoft Word.
The Internet Community: Blogs/Podcasts/Facebook and Twitter-This course will demystify all the things your friends and children are doing online. You will learn how to protect yourself from unwanted intrusions. Get connected to the world wide internet community now. This also is our basic Internet/E-Mail course.
Introduction to Computing, Word, and Excel: These basic course are also in our fall schedule.
