Just in time for the big screen release of Dr. Seuss’, The Lorax, Westfield Old Orchard (Skokie Blvd. & Old Orchard Center, Skokie, IL 60077, 847-676-2230) is set to continue the celebration of his magical and mythical world. The WFamily series will continue Saturday March 3 with a story time and craft session honoring the birthday of the beloved Dr. Suess! His legend has lived on through his colorful children’s books like The Cat in the Hat and Hop on Pop and memorable characters like The Grinch. This time around, Northshore and Chicago area families can come remember all of great lessons Dr. Suess has taught the world! “Dr. Seuss’ Birthday Bash” will be held 11:30-12:30pm at Barnes & Noble located in the Westfield Old Orchard Shopping Center. The free hour-long event will include an interactive story-time and engaging craft session presented by the Skokie Public Library, and highlight themes from some of the iconic storyteller’s books. The event is open to approximately 50 families on a first come first serve basis and no registration is required. Celebrate the life of Dr. Seuss with Westfield Old Orchard!
