If you want to celebrate the Valentine’s season in a fun and interactive way, look no further than Westfield Old Orchard (Skokie Blvd & Old Orchard Center, Skokie, IL 60077, 847-673-6800). The shopping center has big plans to decorate, providing larger than life ice sculptures starting February 4 for visitors to pose (or propose) using the ice sculpture as a backdrop.
There will be three ice sculptures over 7 feet tall and 8 feet wide with images including LOVE, an engagement ring and two eskimos holding a heart. "You can either sit on the love seat (an ice couch) with the LOVE display as your backdrop, pop your hand through the engagement ring or stick your head in the ice cutout and pretend that face is the eskimo's face," says Shannon Ridgeway, marketing director." Or, use the LOVE display as a background setting to pop the question!"
People of all ages will enjoy the larger than life ice art and are encouraged to pose with the figures. Come dusk, shoppers will enjoy the drama created by lighting the sculptures in Valentine’s pink and red.
At the three ice sculpture displays, there will be complimentary treats, like hot tea from Adagio, cookies and hot coco from Corner Bakery, product samplings from Bath and Body Works, and others.
Two-hour-long live ice carving demonstrations take place at noon to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, February 4, and one demonstration 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, February 5 near Nordstrom.

Be creative and encourage your friends to “like” your photo. There’s a drawing in early March for the most creative photo (and most “liked” on Facebook) and the winner will receive $100 Westfield Old Orchard gift card. Photos will be accepted through February 29.
Also during the month of February, shoppers can enter to win a Pandora bracelet. People can enter on Facebook and at the Westfield Concierge desk located in the service collection next to Helzberg Diamonds on the west side of the center.
