A sports talk show host for ESPN Radio 1000 was arrested in Skokie Friday night for allegedly driving with a blood-alcohol concentration nearly twice the legal limit, police said Monday.
Police pulled over Harry M. Teinowitz, 50, in the 3800 block of Greenwood Street in the north suburb at approximately 11:50 p.m. Friday because he illegally charged lanes, authorities said.
Teinowitz was charged with two counts of improper lane usage, one count of DUI and one count of DUI greater than .08 percent, according to police. Police also said that breathalyzer results showed that Teinowitz’s BAC was .131 percent — almost twice the legal limit.
Teinowitz, who is a host of “The Afternoon Saloon” on ESPN Radio 1000, could not be reached for comment on Monday.
He was released on a $1,000 D-bond and is scheduled for a March 23 hearing at the Skokie courthouse.

How ironic that the host of a show called the Afternoon Saloon would be arrested for DUI. I would point out that .131% could hardly be called “almost twice the legal limit.” when the limit is .08% which would be .16%
.15% would be ALMOST twice the limit but not .131%.
