When a Skokie man pointed a handgun at his estranged boyfriend, the other man grabbed a bow and arrow, police said.
The 25-year-old Skokie man is scheduled for a Sept. 14 court date after he allegedly threatened his former boyfriend with a gun, police said.
Police responded to a domestic dispute in the 7400 Keeler Avenue in Skokie shortly before 5 p.m. on August 28. They encountered David Brandon Houston who told them that he had received a text message from his ex-boyfriend.
The message said that boyfriend was moving out and taking Houston’s dog.

No one was injured.
Police recovered three handguns from the home. Houston was charged with aggravated assault and unlawful use of a weapon and is scheduled for a Sept. 14 hearing at the Skokie courthouse.
