The following items were taken from Schaumburg police records Feb. 20.
Child Endangerment Arrest
- A 38-year-old Chicago woman was arrested at Woodfield Mall at 2:35 p.m. Feb. 11 and charged with misdemeanor endangering the health of a child. Police said the woman left her 8-year-old son alone in a play area while shopping with family. Cleaning crews found the boy unsupervised and brought him to the security office, where the boy waited for an hour and a half before the family returned. In addition to the charge, the woman has been banned from Woodfield Mall for one year. The Department of Children and Family Services was also notified.
DUI
- A 41-year-old woman, of the 1900 block of Portsmouth Lane, was arrested on the 700 block of South Spinginsguth Road at 10:10 p.m. Feb. 15 and charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence. She also was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and damage to village property. She was in a one-vehicle accident and suffered minor injuries.
- A 60-year-old man, of the 600 block of Pembridge Lane, was arrested on Schaumburg Road near Trail Drive at 7:15 p.m. Feb. 11, and charged with two counts of misdemeanor driving under the influence. He was also cited for disobeying a traffic signal.
- A 32-year-old Montgomery Man was arrested on Higgins Road near National Parkway at 3:19 a.m. Feb. 11 and was charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence. He was also cited for improper lane use and disobeying a traffic control device.
- A 32-year-old woman, of the 1300 block of North Oakton Road in Hoffman Estates, was arrested on Golf Road near Apple Street at 3:25 a.m. Feb. 10 and charged with two counts of misdemeanor driving under the influence. She was also cited for driving without insurance, no registration and improper lane use.
- A 40-year-old Roselle man was arrested on Roselle Road near Scully Drive at 12:50 a.m. Feb. 10 and charged with two counts of misdemeanor driving under the influence. He was also cited for speeding.
Retail Theft
- An 18-year-old Palatine man was arrested at JCPenney at Woodfield Mall at 3:05 p.m. Feb. 14 and charged with misdemeanor retail theft. Police said the man tried to steal 13 articles of clothing.
- A 18-year-old Bolingbrook Man was arrested at Woodfield Mall at 1:12 p.m. Feb. 12. Police said the man tried to steal a jacket from an undisclosed store.
- A 38-year-old Mount Prospect woman was arrested at Claire’s at Woodfield Mall at 7:55 p.m. Feb. 11 and charged with misdemeanor retail theft. Police said the woman tried to steal a set of fake nails and two necklaces.
- A 26-year-old Chicago woman was arrested at Claire’s in Woodfield Mall at 1:45 p.m. Feb. 11 and charged with misdemeanor retail theft. Police said the woman tried to steal a purse and socks.
- A 19-year-old Carol Stream woman was arrested at Urban Outfitters at Woodfield Mall at 2:10 p.m. Feb. 8 and charged with misdemeanor retail theft. Police said the woman tried to steal two hats.
