Schaumburg police are searching for a man who robbed a TCF Bank inside a Jewel-Osco Sunday afternoon.
The man entered the bank in the grocery store, 1151 S. Roselle Road, at about 5:46 p.m. and handed the teller a note implying he had a gun. Schaumburg police said the man made off with “several thousand dollars.” While the man implied he had a weapon, no gun was displayed.
Police responded, but could not locate the man.
He is described as 5-foot-5, 150-pounds, wearing black eyeglasses, a black hooded sweatshirt, black gloves and a black bandana covering his face. No age range was available because the man’s face was covered, police said.
Police are trying to determine if there is security footage of the man or the robbery.
“We’ve been in contact with the FBI and we are currently investigating,” said Sgt. John Nebl.
No one was injured in the incident. There is no description of the vehicle, Nebl said.
