Man arrested more than a decade after Schaumburg slaying

A man sought for more than a decade for a slaying in Schaumburg is in police custody tonight after being extradited from Mexico.

The body of 28-year-old Hanover Park resident Flavio Venancio was found in a pond near the Schaumburg train station on May 25, 2001, drowned after being beaten and stabbed.
