Today, the U.S. Census Bureau announced that Romeoville grew 87.6% from 21,153 in 2000 to 39,680. According to the new 2010 census data, Romeoville has almost doubled its population. "This is an exciting day for Romeoville, we are now able to capture additional State funding based on our increased population. Our appreciation goes out to the Complete Count Committee that helped disseminate information to the residents about the importance of being counted," said Mayor Noak. Detailed demographic data will not be available for several weeks.
