Harvest Bible Chapel-Joliet held their first service in Joliet on September 12, 2010 at 10 a.m. with over 250 worshippers.  This is a church plant connected with the original Harvest Bible Chapel in Rolling Meadows where Dr. James MacDonald is the senior pastor. HBC Joliet will be worshipping at Lynne Thigpen School. The school is located at 207 S. Midland in Joliet, just South of Jefferson Street and East of Larkin Ave. Children’s ministry for nursery thru 5th grade will be provided.

Joliet area residents are encouraged to visit Harvest Bible Chapel-Joliet and meet the pastor, leaders, ministry volunteers, and the rest of the Harvest community during a Sunday service.

Harvest Bible Chapel-Joliet is led by Pastor Eric Posteluk, his wife Barbie and a launch team of over 100 people. Pastor Eric is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and a recent graduate of the Harvest Bible Fellowship Training Center that equips pastors to launch new Harvest Bible Chapels. In mid September, they will be moving to Joliet with their 4 young daughters.

“Our focus at Harvest is to welcome any person – regardless of social status, ethnicity, or background to come and hear the life changing and eternity altering news of Jesus Christ. He radically changed my life when I was 21 years old and He can change yours as well,” explained Posteluk.

At Harvest, guests will find practical Bible teaching applicable to real life situations and contemporary worship without compromise.

There are over 50 Harvest Bible Chapels around the world. Over 25,000 people currently worship Jesus Christ at churches in the Harvest Fellowship every Sunday. Many Joliet area residents are already familiar with the Harvest Bible Chapel name due to the strong area listenership of Dr. James MacDonald’s national daily Walk In the Word radio program (http://www.WalkInTheWord.com).
