Skype Connects Sister and Brother After 35 Years
Resident at Senior Star at Weber Place Communicates with Brother in England
in a Heartwarming Reunion
ROMEOVILLE, IL (August 31, 2010) – Mary DiGrazia, a resident at Senior Star at Weber Place recently enjoyed an overdue reunion – a video call with her brother who lives in England whom she has not seen in more than three decades.
Courtesy of Senior Star at Weber Place and Skype, DiGrazia and her brother enjoyed a ‘face-to-face’ Internet conversation that brought tears of joy. “Thirty five years is a long time to go without being able to see the face of someone you love,” said DiGrazia. “When I saw my brother I said, ‘Oh my gosh, you look just like dad,’ and he responded, ‘You look just like Mom.’” The siblings are grateful for Senior Star’s Skype program and look forward to their next visit.
“What a wonderful success story this is, and we all feel great knowing that we truly make a difference in our resident’s lives,” said Anja Rogers, Senior Vice President of Senior Star Living.
