DESCRIPTION;CHARSET=UTF-8:Perform choral masterworks, old and new, traditional and avant-garde with North Shore Choral Society (NSCS) as it celebrates its 75th Anniversary.     North Shore Choral Society, www.northshorechoral.org, a 140+ voice volunteer chorus presents three concerts under the direction of Dr. Julia Davids for its 2010-2011 season.  Chorus auditions are 6:30 pm, Tuesdays, September 7 and 14, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3637 Golf Road, Evanston.      New singers and former NSCS members from before the 2009-2010 year should contact NSCS at 773 741 NSCS (6727) or email auditions@northshorechoral.org.  Chorus rehearsals are at Trinity every Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 9:45.      The schedule includes:                                                                             Sunday 3 pm, November 21, 2010 "Ring in the Season" is a compilation of holiday music at Glenview Community Church, Glenview.  Saturday, 7 pm February 12, 2011 is the "75th Anniversary Gala Concert," at The Unitarian Church of Evanston, features work performed over the society's choral history and an anniversary commissioned piece by Dr. Anne Heider.  Sunday, 3 pm, June 12, 2011 NSCS finishes its 75th Anniversary line-up with J. S. Bach's Mass in B Minor at Pick-Staiger Concert Hall in Evanston with full orchestra and star soloists.  NSCS will also be part of the Evanston Symphony Orchestra's production of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Sunday March 13, 2011, 2:30 pm at Pick-Staiger Concert Hall, in Evanston.
