The women of the GFWC-IL Plainfield Junior Woman’s Club kicked off the 2010-2011 club year by holding a new member installation on October 14, 2010. The club was founded in 2008 with 6 members and grew to 15 members in 2010. With the installation of the new members, the club now has 30 members. According to Membership Chair Rachel Stellbrink, who co-chaired the membership event with Leticia Tassone, “We are so excited to start a new club year by doubling in size. The new members are motivated, energetic, and full of ideas on ways to help our community.”
The club also sponsors a Juniorettes chapter, which promotes educational goals and leadership for Plainfield girls enrolled in grades 8-12, while providing community service through volunteerism. Vice-President Brook Henschen and Hospitality Chair Leticia Tassone serve as the Juniorettes’ advisors.
