On Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from 6 PM until 8 PM you’re invited to visit the Plainfield Fire Protection District’s Administration Building in downtown Plainfield at 15025 S. Des Plaines Street for Plainfield’s National Night Out.  The Plainfield Police Department will have games, raffles and crafts for National Night Out.  The Plainfield Fire Protection District will have handouts, a fire engine display and raffles for fire and life safety awareness and Fire Prevention Week in October.  The police and fire dispatch center WESCOM will have information about calling 9-1-1 including a 9-1-1 call simulator where children can make practice calls and speak with an actual telecommunicator.  This event is being held in conjunction with Main Street Plainfield’s weekly cruise night so please stop in and visit while attending the cruise night.
