More than 300 people attended and took part in the Edward Cancer Center’s annual “Women’s ReTREAT” on Saturday, October 30. The event, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, was held at the Edward Cancer Center on the campus of Edward Hospital in Naperville. The ReTREAT featured a fashion show with breast cancer survivors modeling swimsuits and leisure wear; “Breast Kept Secrets,” private, personalized consultations and bra fittings for women who’ve had breast surgery; the American Cancer Society’s “Look Good…Feel Better” program which offered beauty techniques to female cancer patients in active treatment; skin cancer screenings; 10-minute seated massages; individual Reiki sessions; yoga; nutritional information and pink hair extensions.
