Edward Plainfield ER wins Plainfield Chamber’s New Business Award

The Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce honored the Edward Plainfield 24/7 ER with the New Business Award for 2009-2010 at the organization’s Annual Awards & Appreciation Luncheon, held on July 21 at Whitetail Ridge Golf Club in Yorkville.  The Edward Plainfield ER was recognized as a business that has been operating for less than two years and has achieved business growth and has made significant contributions to the chamber and the community.

The Edward Plainfield 24/7 ER is a 7,900 square foot, $5.7 million facility that provides access to a higher level of emergency care for Plainfield area residents.  The ER has 15 treatment stations and an ambulance bay to receive basic life support (BLS) ambulance traffic.  An advanced life support (ALS) ambulance is on-site and available 24 hours a day to transport cardiac and critical care patients, once they’ve been stabilized, to Edward Hospital in Naperville.
