The "Art in the Boonies" Art-Walk is a series of pop-up galleries which are temporary exhibition spaces held in vacant commercial buildings within the community.
The "First Friday" of each month (May through Sept.) will introduce a collection of new Art exhibitions in each gallery. "First Fridays" from 6-9pm will feature artist receptions and are considered the main event of each month's Art-Walk, though all gallery spaces will be open every Friday night through September from 6-9pm.
There will be signs out around downtown Plainfield guiding the public to each gallery, all within a short walk of each other; and here are June's gallery addresses:
1. Art Cube Studios: 24044 W. Main St.
2. Village Center Gallery: 24047 Lockport St. (entrance on DesPlaines)
3. Overlook Gallery: 24047 Lockport St. (entrance on DesPlaines) (upstairs)
4. Chicago Street Gallery: 24118 W. Chicago St. Unit 210
