These photographs of the Homan Avenue Power Station were taken just before demolition of the building’s interior in preparation for its new roll as charter high school to service the Chicago North Lawndale community. The images represent both exploration and discovery of a slice in time when power was visually inherent in the massive scale of turbines and generators surrounded by artifacts of those who serviced and operated them.
