An autopsy conducted today on a partially-decomposed body found in Park Ridge found that the unidentified man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, officials said.

The man, who appeared to be in his 40s, died of a gunshot wound to the head and his death was ruled a suicide, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
