Third graders at Oak Ridge School have new dictionaries to help them navigate the world of spelling compliments of the Moraine Valley Rotary Club.
The Rotary Club donates the paperback books each year to third graders and provides them with a crash-course on how to use them.
Rotary is a worldwide service organization that boasts more than 1.2 million members in 200 geographic locations.
Members include businessmen and women who believe in "giving back to their community and the world."
By giving back, Rotary members believe they are building stronger communities, which makes for a better life for everyone.
Worldwide, Rotary members help build wells to provide potable water sources, construct community health centers and provide books, training and food.
Rotary is perhaps best known for its quest to eradicate polio and other childhood diseases.
