Scoot over (Boys softball and volleyball) Coach (Tim) Kaczmarek. Jaguar dance coach (Lauren) Theodore and choreographer (Jeff) Orluck are making a statement for equal billing in that trophy case inside Conrady Junior High School in Hickory Hills.
The Jaguars' dance team returned recently from Romeoville High School with another impressive piece of hardware for winning the TDY Midwest Dance Championship.
This is the first time in Conrady dance program history that the Jaguar Dancers have ever won first place at the youth championships.
The TDY Midwest Dance Championship is the culmination competition of the youth division of Team Dance Illinois.
The Jaguar Dancers have been practicing for this competition since September.
As a prelude to the big event, the Jaguars Dancers participated in – and won – an open dance competition at Stagg High School in December.
Conrady dance teams have been performing for 12 years.
