Future Educators of America, a club for students interested in careers in education, from Shepard High School volunteered this week in the Book Buddies program at the Crestwood Public Library.

Organized by youth services director Debbie Fisher, Book Buddies pairs high school students with preschool children. They read together for about 25 minutes, and then complete a seasonal craft for another 20 minutes or so.

Parents who would like to register their child for Book Buddies can call Fisher at the Crestwood Public Library at 708-371-4090. Remaining dates this year include February 8 and 22, March 14, and April 11 and 25.
