Thursday night the Fremd Vikings hosted the Regional Gymnastics competition. Lake Park, Buffalo Grove and Fremd teams were present. Individuals from Dundee Crown and Jacobs High School also competed.

Fremd (144.525) topped the team standings followed by Lake Park (134.30) and Buffalo Grove (125.275).

Fremd topped three of the four events. Shannon Lamenjeur lead the Vikings with top scores (9.375) on vault and (9.425) beam, Sydney Plichta won the bars event (9.275). Allison Riedel from Jacobs High School, was first on the floor exercise, (9.05). The floor exercise was the viking downfall at this event but the girls came back to excel on beam.

The all around winner of the meet was Allison Riedel, Jacobs High School, (36.925) followed by Fremd Shannon Lemenjeur (36.025) and Stephanie Uhrich (35.775).
