Palatine captured first place in both the girls’ and boys’ Wheeling 3A Regional meet at Heritage Park. The top five teams advance to the Schaumburg Sectional next Saturday at Busse Woods.

Palatine, Fremd, Barrington, St. Viator, and Hersey qualified for the Sectional in the girls’ race. Barrington’s Becca Batliner was the individual champion with a time of 17:20 over the three mile course.

Palatine, Barrington, Hersey, Fremd, and Buffalo Grove move to the Sectional in the boys’ race. Palatine’s Anthony Gregorio won the individual title in 15:09.
