A vehicle was hit by a Metra train near Palatine tonight, according to authorities.

Outbound Union Pacific Northwest Line Train No. 657 was stopped as of 8:40 p.m. at Quentin Road near the Palatine station because a vehicle was hit by the train, said a Service Advisory posted on Metra’s website.
