The previous day's snow may have kept a few cooks away from Orland Park, but there were still enough to make for stiff competition in the 13th Chilly Willie Chili Challenge. Event Coordinator Patty Vlazny said 32 cooks signed up for the Jan. 21 event at the Orland Park Civic Center and more than 200 people showed up to sample the chili. She said there were also 90 judges for the event. For the second year in a row, Orland Park's Jose Torres won the People's Choice Award. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Open Lands of Orland Park program and the Orland Park Theatre Troupe. Read the full story.
