Orland Township opened its offices for its annual Holiday Magic Stress Be Gone event on the evening of Dec. 7 and the idea was for area residents to take a one-night break to be pampered and to shop.

The event featured specialized services from local salons and boutiques. Yoga lessons, massages and other relaxation techniques were offered. There were plenty of items for sale, including Avon products, hats, purses and decorations.
