St. Michael School 3rd and 4th graders recently studied the concept of Peace. The third graders discussed how they can help make their school and home environments a peaceful one. Each child colored a picture of themselves upon which they wrote a sentence telling how he/she will encourage peace.
The fourth graders researched a Nobel Prize Winner of their choice. Working in class, the students researched their choice on the internet and developed a summary which included a photograph of the prize winner and described how the person promoted peace in the world. The students were surprised to learn that so many people in the world work hard to keep and make peace for themselves and others.
